Sophia Kalogeropoulou was born in 1946 in Athens, Greece. She is a graduate of the American Academy in Greece. She studied law and political-economic sciences at the University of Athens as well as music studies at the Athens Conservatory and at the Studio of the Vienna State Opera, Austria. From 1976 to 1977 she was a soloist in the Vienna State Opera. She is self taught and has participated in many exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Italy, France, Japan, Sweden and Switzerland). She is a collaborater of “Gallery Naifs and Primitifs” in Paris. She is married to the composer-musicologist Takis Kalogeropoulos and she has two daughters: Dione and Daphne
