Ze Cordeiro

Ze Cordeiro was born in 1942 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He studied painting at FAAP College of the Armando Alvares Foundation with Nelson Nobrage, Sao Paulo and Pop Art with German painter Ted Derich Ligars. He also studied engraving with Paulo Menten at NUGRASP (Group of engravers of Sao Paulo), Sao Paulo. He began his artistic career in 1966 and in 1967 was one of the founders of the “Praca da Republica Art Fair”, Sao Paulo. He moved to Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1979 and to Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil in 1983. In 1984 he founded the Casa de Arte Brasileira, Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He moved to Portugal in 1990 and in 1993 opened Porto Art Gallery 245, Porto, Portugal. After living in Carcavelos, Portugal, he returned to Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2010.
